Steven Ashe was born on October 19, 1961 in Tampa, Florida where he has resided most of his life. Very active in all sports as a youth, he participated in organized baseball, basketball, football, and lettered in golf at Jesuit High School where he graduated in 1979. In the fall of 1979, Steven matriculated at Tulane University in New Orleans. He received his B.S. in mathematics in 1983 and later earned his M.S. also in mathematics in 1985.

Upon graduating in 1985, he worked primarily in a sales and management capacity in the aluminum industry until 1996 when he decided to help found a software development company. He stayed in the software industry until his return to Ashe Industries in 1999. Since then, he has juggled the duties of CFO (relinquished in 2005), CIO, and COO of the company.

Nevin Ashe - Sales Manager

Born in 1961, Nevin Ashe grew up in Tampa, Florida where he has resided most of his life. Very active in all sports as a youth, he participated in organized baseball, basketball, football, and lettered in baseball at Jesuit High School where he graduated in 1979. In the fall of 1979, Nevin enrolled at Tulane University in New Orleans. He received his B.S. in Business Administration.

In 1983 he was hired by Ashley Aluminum where he was assigned the task of starting up and managing the company's Sarasota branch warehouse. In 1986, Nevin left Ashley Aluminum and helped start Ashe Industries in 1987. There he managed the company's Sarasota branch until he moved back to Tampa in 1996 where he commenced duties as the company's Sales Manager -- a position he has held since then. Nevin is an avid golfer, and card player. He has two daughters: born in 1993 and 1996.

Robert Ashe - Vice President

Robert Ashe was born in 1965 in Tampa, Florida where he has resided most of his life. Active in many sports in his youth, including baseball and golf, winning the young men's golf championship at Carrollwood Village Golf course in 1977. Attended and graduated from Jesuit High School in 1983 and in the fall of that year he enrolled at Tulane University where he earned his B.S. in economics in 1987. During his college years he learned to play the guitar and write songs, which he still enjoys doing to this day.

Upon graduating from Tulane he joined Ashe Industries, which had just opened its doors for business at that time. In the summer of 1987 he moved to Sarasota and worked in the Port Charlotte and Sarasota offices where he handled a variety of responsibilities including inside sales, warehouse operations, various management duties and purchasing at both locations. In 1993 he moved back to Tampa where for 7 years he was the companies purchasing agent and inside sales manager. Since then, he has taken on various management duties. For the past 6 years, Robert has focused much of his efforts in the area of credit management, where in the process he has successfully overhauled and maintained the Accounts Receivable department.

Stan Ashe - Owner, CEO

Stanley Ashe was born on December 29th, 1932 in the Bronx, New York City. He graduated from James Monroe High Scholl in 1951 where he lettered and starred on the basketabll team for three years. He we went on to enroll at Central Connecticut State in New Britain, Connecticut in 1951 where he majored in English and again starred for the basketball team for all four of his years there. Upon graduating from CCSU in 1955, Stan was hired by one of the local high schools to teach English, Social Studies, and coach the basketball team.

After five very successful years Stan moved on and went into the sign business with some friends. Not too long afterwards, he met his future wife Rita on Natucket Beach in 1960 who were married the same year. Lured by an old high school friend, Stan and Rita immediately moved and settled in Tampa, Florida where they would later have three boys: Two were twins - Steven and Nevin - born in 1961 and the youngest son Robert was born in 1965. After selling beauty supplies for a year, Stan was hired on at Atlantic Aluminum where he manged their Tampa operation.

In 1964, Stan decided to set off on his own and subsequently founded Ashley Aluminum which one year later became a wholly owned subsidiary of another Tampa based company, Crown Industries. He presided at Ashely Aluminum as president for over 22 years growing it from $90,000 in annual revenues to over $70 million when he departed in 1986. In 1987, he founded Ashe Industries where to this day he continues to be an active participant in the company’s daily operations and long term strategic planning.

Bruce Ferguson - Director of Purchasing

Bruce joined Ashe Industries in early 2003 primarily as a Product Manager. Soon after arriving however, Bruce immediately began taking on a variety of tasks and responsibilities. Drawing on his 34 years-plus industry experience that included outside sales, sales management, branch management, and product management, Bruce made an immediate impact on expanding Ashe Industries’ product line and purchasing power.

Bruce was among one of a few pioneers most responsible for the design and development of the current line of fasteners and hardware currently in use today in the aluminum pool and patio industry. He also was one of the first to source the Asian continent for these products, traveling for the past 25 years to Japan, Taiwan, and most recently to mainland China. He has made over 50 such sourcing trips to Asia and is member of the Executive Shippers Council for the Port of Tampa. Bruce cannot only speak Mandarin Chinese fluently, but he can read it and write it as well. He is an avid reader of ancient Chinese literature.

Bruce has been happily married to his wife Elizabeth for 4 years. They have a lovely daughter named Alexis who was born in November of 2005.
